Our Museum is housed in the original St. Joseph's Miners' Hospital that was built in 1886, which was originally operated by the Sisters of Mercy. Today the Museum is home to thousands of artifacts that reflect Ouray's past.
The Society also runs a Research Center at 722 Main Street in Ouray containing over 25,000 documents, over 5,000 photographs and a 9,000 book library titled "The W. Ross Moore Mining History Library of the American West.
