Evenings of History - 2010

For more than two decades the Ouray County Historical Society has offered a series of free summer evening lectures on historical topics. The first six talks take place in the Massard Room of the Ouray Community Center while the final talk will be held in the Ridgway Town Hall. All talks begin at 7:30 pm. The dates and topics for the seven 2010 Evening in History lectures are given below:

*June 14 - Chris George, Restoration of Red Mountain Mining Camps

June 22 - Jim Pettengill, The Marlow Brothers

June 29 - Duane Smith, The First Five years of the Solid Muldoon

July 6 - Bob Larson, Geology of Ouray County

July 13 - Carolyne Kelly, Ouray County's Historic Hotels

July 20 - Don Paulson, 19th Century Mills and Smelters of Ouray County

**July 28 - Keith Koch, Ridgway, Always a Railroad Town

First Six are at the Community Center in Ouray.  The seventh one at the Town Hall in Ridgway.
