"Otto Mears Exhibit" opens. Most Ouray County residents are familiar with the name Otto Mears. He is most famous for building toll roads and railroads. However, Otto was involved in many other endeavors including founding newspapers, mining investing, military service, Colorado politics, and numerous others. Learn about the career of this famous Colorado entrepreneur. Closes July 5th. Reopens August 17th thru November 19th.

Opening July 9. Juried first place prize - $75, Juried 2nd place prize - $50, Juried 3rd place prize - $25. Any single individual can only win one award. Contact museum for details.
